AT&T (T) is rolling out an internet service as fast and affordable as Google Fiber (GOOG,GOOGL).
Gigapower will offer an internet speed of 1 gigabyte per second for $70 a month. AT&T announced on Sunday that it would be releasing the service in Kansas City soon.
Consumers can also choose to subscribe to Gigapower with a basic TV package for $120 a month. Google and AT&T will both expand their fiber services across a number of states.
Cities in North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, California and Tennessee are among the places where the companies will launch their respective services at around the same time.
T stock is down 0.2% Tuesday. GOOG stock is down 0.9% and GOOGL stock is down 0.8%.
