Google (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Mattel (NASDAQ:MAT) are planning to announce a new product on Feb. 13.

The new mystery product was hinted at by Google and Mattel when media invites to the event next week were sent out. The media invites have the text “View what’s possible” near what appears to be a slide from Mattel’s View-Master, reports Cnet.

The media event from Google and Mattel will be held in New York City the day before the North American International Toy Fair kicks off. It’s possible that the new product will be and updated view finder that works with Google devices to create a virtual reality experience, Cnet notes.

For those who don’t know, the View Master was a toy from Mattel that looked like a pair of binoculars. The toy had a slot in the top and circular pieces of cardboard were put in through the slot. The pieces of cardboard had slides spaced throughout them and pulling a lever on the toy would move the view in the eye pieces to the next slide.
