The update to Facebook Community Standards includes a collection of specific threats and actions that aren’t tolerable on the website. The outline lists direct threats, self-injury, dangerous organizations, bully and harassment, sexual violence and exploitation and more as actions that aren’t allowed.

The Facebook Community Standards also updates what’s allowed in terms of respectful behavior. This change includes what types of nudity are allowed on the site. It also outlines the types of hate speeches that can’t be used and details limits on violence and graphics content.

According to the updated Facebook Community Standards, the social media website may not always ban offensive content if it’s part of a different culture. Instead, it can choose to limit that content to only be shown in the appropriate countries. It can do the same with content that may be illegal in some countries, but not in others.
