There are a lot of rumors surrounding Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) next Apple TV.
According to insider sources, the next Apple TV could undergo a major redesign that would have it being much thinner than the current generation of the set-top box and include a new remote. These sources also claim that Apple is working on an online TV service that would be shown off in June before being launched in September, reports Reuters.
Rumors collected from Cult of Mac claim that the next Apple TV will be shown off at the WWDC. These rumors include an App Store being added to the device with the ability to play games and use Siri. It’s also believed that the new set-top box will come equipped with an A8 processor and more built-in storage.
There’s also been talk that a true Apple TV was supposed to be released, but was ultimately scrapped. These rumors claim that the TV set would have been able to display videos at ultra-high-definition quality, Reuters notes.
