Dan Loeb, leader of activist hedge fund Third Point, criticized Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE:BRK.A,NYSE:BRK.B) CEO and investor Warren Buffett at the SALT Conference in Las Vegas.

Dan Loeb recently claimed that Warren Buffett is a hypocrite, even if he didn’t say it flat-out. The hedge fund head said he loves “contrasting his words with his actions” after reading his letters. One of his complaints was on Buffett’s dislike of hedge funds and activist investors. Loeb claims Buffett was the first in both these fields, reports CNNMoney.

Dan Loeb’s other complaints with Warren Buffett include the CEO’s opinion on taxes. Loeb says that Buffet endorses the rich paying more in taxes, but then does everything he can to avoid them at Berkshire Hathaway. He also criticized Buffet’s low opinion of bankers, citing that he has investments in several banks, CNNMoney notes.

Following Dan Loeb’s criticism of Warren Buffet at the SALT Conference, SkyBridge Investments head Anthony Scaramucci, whose firm hosted the event, said his chances of getting Buffet to show up next year were gone. He also made a public apology to Buffett, reports Fortune.
