apple-rumors-display-iphone-home-button-aaplMusic: Apple (AAPL) is going to pay royalties for music listened to during the trial period of its Music service, reports MacRumors. The tech company didn’t say how much it would pay per song stream. It previously said it wouldn’t pay for streaming during the free period, which upset some artist. One of the upset artists was Taylor Swift, who voiced her complaints via Twitter (TWTR). However, Apple responded to her and said it was changing its stance on paying artist during the trial period.

Design: A new Apple patent has been revealed that could change how the next iPhone is designed, Business Insider notes. The new design in the patent is one for a type of metal that would allow antenna to send and receive signals while covered by it. Apple can already do this, but it leaves the iPhone with clear markings on the back where these antenna are located. The new metal would blend in with the metal that is used for the rear shell of iPhones and would create a seamless look.

Home: Apple may get rid of the Home button on its newer iPhones, reports DigiTimes. The tech company is reportedly working on a touch display that would include a virtual Home button. This new display would extend the screen and will likely be used with devices that have thinner displays. The company’s efforts include having the touchscreen equipped with a fingerprint scanner on it, which really would make the Home button obsolete.
