Bindi Irwin is joining the Dancing With the Stars cast.
The wildlife conservationist announced the she will be the first celebrity dancer on the latest season of the series. Dancing With the Stars season 21 is slated to begin on September 14.
Irwin is the daughter of Terri Irwin and the late Steve Irwin, the daring Australian “Crocodile Hunter.” Bindi says she is excited to be in Los Angeles and be a part of the new season of Dancing With the Stars.
“This will be a completely new adventure for me and I’m excited to share my journey,” she said. “Life is about daring to dream, I’m in love with this city and ready to fall in love with the music and dance to come.”
Much like her father, Bindi has dedicated her life to wildlife conservation on a number of shows such as Bindi: The Jungle Girl and Steve Irwin’s Wildlife Warriors. She also has some acting experience in films such as Return to Nim’s Island.
The full list of participants for Dancing with the Stars season 21 will be released September 2.
