apple-rumors-betas-developers-aaplAdoption: Apple’s (AAPL) iOS 9 is being adopted faster by users than iOS 8 was, reports Digital Trends. Data from the tech company shows that more than 50% of iOS devices have made the switch from iOS 8 to iOS 9 after it was only out for five days. This is faster than adoption rates for iOS 8. This is likely partially due to the new operating system having less crash reports than its predecessor. Also, Apple’s iOS adoption rates may be a little on the high side. Two other sets of data for iOS 9 adoption rates claim that they were closer to 35% five days after release.

Update: Apple has released iOS 9.0.1 to the public, MacRumors notes. The new update for iOS 9 comes out just a week after the new mobile operating system was launched. It’s a small update that offers bug fixes for users of the OS. These include issues with pausing videos in Safari and Photos, alarms not working and more. It also offers some minor performance enhancements. The update comes in the form of an over-the-air download.

Betas: Apple has released its newest betas of iOS 9.1, tvOS and Xcode 7.1, reports AppleInsider. The new betas released by AAPL are only available to developers. The updates mark the second betas for iOS 9.1 and Xcode 7.1 that have been released to developers. The update for tvOS is currently only available to select developers that have obtained test units of the new set-top box. When iOS 9.1 is released, it’s expected to have Unicode 8 support and new emojis. It’s believed that the iPad Pro will come with iOS 9.1 installed on it.
