Tuesday Apple Rumors: iPhone 7 May Be Waterproof & Dustproof

The new update is reportedly dedicated to fixing issues in the areas of security, stability and compatibility. This build for this beta is 15B22c and it has been released less than two weeks since the first OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 was released to developers. It can be downloaded via the Mac App Store or from the company’s developer website.

Software: Apple has returned some software that is no longer supported to the “Purchased” tab on the Mac App Store, MacRumors notes. Software that has been added back to the Purchased tab in the Mac App Store include OS X Lion, OS X Mountain Lion, OS X Mavericks, Aperture and iPhoto. Only Aperture will still be supported when OS X El Capitan is released. This software was gone for several days before being returned and it’s unknown why AAPL took this action. Other software that is still missing include Logic Pro 9 and older versions of OS X Server.

Waterproof: A new rumor claims that Apple’s iPhone 7 will be waterproof, reports Digital Trends. The new rumor comes from a posts made to Weibo, a social network in China, and should be taken with a grain of salt. This post claims that the tech company is looking to add new features to the next generation of iPhones and that waterproofing is one of them. The post also claims that AAPL will made the iPhone 7 dustproof as well. Another post on the social media website claims that Apple is working on a new material for the iPhone 7’s case that won’t be made of metal.
