Apply Magic Sauce: Tool Predicts Personality Based on Facebook Likes

It attempts to predict your gender and intelligence too

There’s a new tool called Apply Magic Sauce that predicts your personality based on what you like on Facebook (NASDAQ:FB).

The tool was developed by the University of Cambridge’s Psychometrics Centre. Apply Magic Sauce uses nothing more than your “likes” on the social media site to build up a picture of your personality.

It also estimates your gender, intelligence, life satisfaction, sexual preference, political and religious preferences, your education and your relationship status.

Apply Magic Sauce determines how much of each of the “Big 5” personality traits you have. These include openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
