Tesla (TSLA) has released a new update for its Model S that adds an Autopilot feature.

The Tesla Autopilot system works with camera, radar, ultrasonics, and GPS to handle driving the Model S. Drivers still need to be aware of what’s going on around them while the Autopilot is active. The new system also continues to learn based on real-time feedback from various sensors.

RoadandTrack.com tested out the Tesla Autopilot in New York City traffic. The online publication noted that it handled everything very well, even if it was a bit jerky when it came to sudden stops. It also noted that the system doesn’t take into account for traffic lights and stop signs, which means drivers will have to take over when these come up.
