Sony (NYSE:SNE) has an exciting new feature for PS4 users.

The PlayStation 4 can now play PlayStation 2 games via an emulator, discovered Eurogamer. Sony then confirmed its involvement with the emulator for PS4 owners.

“We are working on utilising PS2 emulation technology to bring PS2 games forward to the current generation,” said a Sony spokesperson. “We have nothing further to comment at this point in time.”

Thanks to Eurogamer, we know that Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter will all be emulated.

We still don’t know what other PS2 games will be available for PS4 but gamers are hoping it includes a broad selection of the classic console.

SNE stock is down 0.04% Friday.
