Some people are talking about Starbucks (SBUX) polar bear cookies.

According to Yahoo News, the Starbucks polar bear cookies have red scarfs across their necks. Unfortunately, some people online are now claiming that these aren’t scarfs, but are actually slit throats. Why this matters five years after the cookies have been discontinued, or at all, is anyone’s guess.

Here’s what some Twitter (TWTR) users are saying about the discontinued Starbucks polar bear cookies.

  • “I’m a @peta supporter but pls save outrage for real issues – not #polarbear #cookies with red ribbons”
  • “I’m so upset I never got my #crimescene #polarbear from @Starbucks”
  • “And in the latest “let’s all be victims” contest, Starbucks polar bear is violent. Get a life kids.”
  • “Starbucks is at it again with their relentless war on Christmas. Now theyve slit the throats of the polarbear cookies”
  • “#Starbucks is having such a bad Christmas this year?? but I’m still buying there, they didn’t do it on purpose”
