Here are your Apple Rumors for today:

Apple Rumors, Headphones, Patent, AAPLWWDC: Apple’s (AAPL) invitations to WWDC 2016 have been sent out, reports AppleInsider. The invitations include 11 lines of text that are desinged to appear like its Swift programming language. The lines reference many apps that have taken off over the years and the final line reads “Hello big idea.” Some have taken this to mean that the tech company is preparing a big announcement for 2016 and others believe it’s connected to a possible OS XI announcement. However, there’s also the possibility that it’s just simple line of text meant to encourage developers.

Patent: Apple has applied for an interesting headphone patent, 9to5Mac notes. The new patent describes a set of headphones that would easily be able to switch between being plugged in and going wireless without trouble. It said that the headphones would be set up in a way that an iPhone would know to stay connected to them after they’ve been unplugged. It also includes a data buffer in the headphones that would allow them to continue playing music after being unplugged until a secure Bluetooth connection can be made.

LTE: A new rumor claims that Apple won’t be getting its iPhone 7 LTE modems from Qualcomm, Inc. (QCOM), reports MacRumors. This rumor is based on a statement made by Qualcomm in its earnings report on Wednesday. The company noted that it will be losing orders from one of its major buyers to a rival. The rumor claims that the buyer is Apple and that the rival that will be taking over the orders is Intel Corporation (INTC).
