Pokemon Go has launched a Buddy System that allows one of your Pokemon to walk beside you.
The functionality allows you to pick one of your creatures in order to have a virtual pet by your side as you go through your journey. You can choose your favorite one, who will help you earn a candy reward for walking a certain distance with it.
The Pokemon Go update allows you to use Pokemon regardless of what their health is–meaning that even if they fain in training or battle, you can still have it by your side.
You can swap your Pokemon at any point, which won’t affect your personal traveling distance, but changing will reset the distance necessary to reach your next candy.
Pikachu has a special feature if you choose him as your candy, as walking 10 km with the Pokemon results in it jumping on your shoulder and sitting there. In some cases, walking results in getting two candies at once.
The creators of the game recently revealed the list of the most powerful creatures on Pokemon Go, and the top 5 is comprised of MewTwo, Dragonite, Mew, Articuno and Snorlax, in that order. The other legendary flying Pokemon are also on the top 10.
