A bomb threat led to a Legoland closing in Florida.Legoland

The Legoland amusement park and hotel is located in Winter Haven, Florida and there were rumblings of a potential bomb threat. It was evacuated on Thursday, according to a statement issued by park officials on Twitter.

“A bomb threat was discovered on our property,” the statement posted at about 1 p.m. EDT said. “We have evacuated the theme park and hotel for the safety and security of guests and employees.”

Additionally, Legoland announced that the park and hotel would be closed for the rest of the day. The specifics of the bomb threat — including how serious it is — were not disclosed.

The 150-acre theme park includes rides, restaurants, a water park and a hotel. It has been around since October 2011, along with a hotel that opened in May, equipped with 152 rooms.Lego recently announced a Beatles-themed set of yellow bricks called Yellow Submarine that embodies the classic Beatles song and 1960s film, along with figurines of all four Beatles. It will retail for $60 and it will be released on Nov. 1, containing more than 550 pieces.Additionally, Lego recently created a mixture of its own products with the popular video game Minecraft. This one will include 1,600 pieces and it sells for $200.The company recently changed its bulk-buy policy, no longer requiring to reveal details of the thematic purpose of its products.
