Burger King Will Give You a Free Whopper for Your Unwanted Gifts

Burger King, which is owned by Restaurant Brands International Inc (TSE:QSR), will give customers a free Whopper for their unwanted gifts.

Burger King, Free WhopperSelect Burger King restaurants will be allowing customers to trade in their unwanted Christmas gifts on Dec. 26, 2016. These gifts can be of any value and must not be used. The company’s employees will determine if a gift is eligible for the trade.

Customers looking to get a free Whopper on Dec. 26 will have to stop by from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the exchange. The deal is also only available at a few locations. One in Miami, Fla., and others in London and Brazil.

Americans looking to trade unwanted gifts for a free Whopper can stop by the Burger King location at 910 Arthur Godfrey Road in Miami. All items given up in the trade will be given to local charities. There will also be a limit on the number of unwanted gifts customers can trade in, reports Fox News.

“At Burger King restaurants, we are always looking for ways to surprise our fans, no matter if they were good or naughty,” Fernando Machado, the fast food chain’s SVP of Global Brand Management, told CBS News.

Burger King is also using the hashtag #WhopperExchange to promote the offer. This includes a special deal for Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) users. The first 100 users to post a picture with the hashtag and an unwanted gift will get something special from the company. The fast food company hasn’t revealed what this will be, yet.
