Thursday’s Stocks to Watch: Constellation Energy, Starbucks

Here are a few stocks to keep on your radar:

  • Constellation Energy (NYSE:CEG) rose more than 4% after news the company would be acquired by Exelon (NYSE:EXC) in a stock deal worth $7.9 billion.
  • Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) slipped 0.8% after the company reported fiscal second-quarter earnings and revenue that was in line with Wall Street expectations. The coffee retailer raised its forecast for full-year profit, but that number was still below analysts’ estimates.
  • Nutrisystem (NASDAQ:NTRI) shares climbed nearly 7% after the company blew away Wall Street’s first-quarter profit expectations.
  • Akamai Tech (NASDAQ:AKAM) tumbled more than 15% after the company’s first-quarter earnings report late Wednesday included a second-quarter earnings forecast that was below analysts’ consensus estimates.
  • Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN) fell more than 4% despite the company reporting positive results of a drug study late Wednesday for its drug used to treat macular edema. The stock had surged in Wednesday trading prior to the announcement.
