Zynga May Acquire Glu Mobile: Hot on  the heels of Zynga‘s (NASDAQ:ZNGA$200 million purchase of mobile game designer OMGPOP, it looks like another game company may come under its wing. While representatives from both companies are refraining from comment, Bloomberg reports increasing speculation that Glu Mobile‘s (NASDAQ:GLUU) rising success points to a potential Zynga acquisition. Analysts noted that shortly after Zynga disclosed the value of its OMGPOP acquisition on March 23, Glu Mobile’s market value rose 21% that day alone — the sharpest increase since November 2010.

Glu Mobile’s stock closed today at $4.99, giving the company a $319 million market cap. Given the OMGPOP acquisition valued at an ambitious $200 million, Glu Mobile seems within reach of Zynga.

Yelp Augments Web Metrics for Business Outreach: Social ratings and review website Yelp (NYSE:YELP) has recently revamped its metrics capabilities to further engage business owners. As reported by Marketing Land, Yelp has expanded the detail-attentiveness of its reporting specifically for businesses that register with the site. Following a period of input from business owners who engage through Yelp.com, the company began offering organic traffic reports that gauge traffic through the domain pages of individual businesses. Yelp closed Wednesday at $29.09, up 1.6%.

Justin Bieber’s Twitter Account Hacked: Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber has just suffered an embarrassing Twitter snafu. As ZDNet reports, Bieber’s Twitter profile posted an obscene tweet at 6:04 p.m. last night, causing a fan uproar and small public relations hangup. While it quickly became clear that a remote user, not the pop star himself, had posted the bizarre tweet, it nevertheless stunned Bieber’s fans and his 19 million Twitter followers.
