Some fans of the new Taco Bell (NYSE:YUM) Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos are getting angry when their stores didn’t get them on time.
The fast food chain said that the new product — the follow up to the wildly successful Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco from last year — would be available in stores Wednesday, reports Fox News.
However, due to delivery delays, some stores had to turn away customers until Thursday. This led to a serious amount of complaining on the chain’s Facebook page. Some posters wrote “VERY disappointed!” and “Boo to you.” One fan even drafted an open letter to the chain about how he and a friend went to their local Taco Bell after midnight to be one of the first and had to settle for the already established Nacho Cheese variety.
Taco Bell has apologized in a statement. The chain claims that the Wednesday launch was only for participating restaurants and that some deliveries may have been delayed. Still, some customers view the outrage with scorn, “Oh my god all of you shut up, it’s just a taco,” one person posted on Facebook.
