NASA just released one of the greatest images of the natural world you’ll ever see–a full circle rainbow.
The rare sighting was captured over Cottesloe Beach, near Perth, Australia last year. A helicopter was able to see the full circle rainbow in all its glory as the sun set and rain poured.
We can usually only see half of a rainbow because directions towards the ground have fewer visible raindrops. However, aerial images are able to capture full circle rainbows.
Check out the full circle rainbow here. If you look closely enough, you can also see a second rainbow on the outside.
