Walmart (WMT) has released a price-matching app called Walmart Savings Catcher.

The app is designed to help consumers get the lowest-possible price for their purchases at the retailer. Here are five things to know about Walmart Savings Catcher

- The app has three simple steps: you scan your receipt on your phone, Walmart compares prices for the same product with local competitors and you get the difference on an eGift Card.
- The process is not immediate. It takes three business days for the app to process price differences with competitors.
- There is a limit of seven receipts per week.
- If the scanner on your phone doesn’t work, you can type the 16-digit number on the receipt.
- Walmart Savings Catcher shares data about your purchasing habits with Walmart.
WMT stock is down 0.9% Monday afternoon.
