According to 9to5Mac, Apple is looking to hire fashion and luxury experts to aid it in selling the Apple Watch. These fashion and luxury experts would help Apple Store with the jump from tech shop to jewelry store as it looks to house many different versions of the wearable tech.
Also aiding Apple in its efforts to sell the Apple Watch is former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts. Ahrendts is now the head of the company’s retail division and will work to update Apple Stores for the release of the smartwatch, reports 9to5Mac.
A recent study concerning smartwatches also shows that consumers are ready to accept the Apple Watch. According to the study, women will be more willing to buy the device and would even pay $50 more than market price if buying it for themselves, Mashable notes.
The study found that 53% of women would give a smartwatch as a gift and 22% would buy one for themselves. Only 31% of men were interested in giving the devices as a gift, but 38% said they would buy one for themselves, reports Mashable.
