Amazon Prime (AMZN) has tabbed Woody Allen for an original TV series.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker will write and direct a show that will be featured on Amazon Prime. Not much has been revealed about the show other than Allen’s contribution.
“I have no ideas and I’m not sure where to begin,” said the director. The show will consist of 30-minute episodes and it will be launched in 2016.
“From Annie Hall to Blue Jasmine, Woody has been at the creative forefront of American cinema and we couldn’t be more excited to premiere his first TV series exclusively on Prime Instant Video next year,” said Roy Price, vice president of Amazon Studios.
The series will be available to Amazon Prime subscribers in the US, UK and Germany.
