Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) bus drivers are getting better pay and benefits as part of a new deal.
The new deal for Facebook bus drivers will see wage increases that will put them between $21 and $25 and hour from their previous range of $18 to $20. This will increase to $22.50 to $28.50 an hour in three years. New benefits will include health and medical insurance for full-time employees and their families, reports USA Today.
The Facebook bus drivers will also be getting increased vacation time and more holiday time and seniority rights. The bus drivers are contracted to shuttle the company’s employees by Loop. It believed that the better pay and working conditions may bring more bus drivers to the company, USA Today notes.
According to CNN Money, the new deal for Facebook drivers will result in them getting a $5 an hour increase in wages on average. However, some employees will see a an up to $9 an hour increase in their wages.
