“When is the Kentucky Derby?” It’s actually right around the corner.
The Kentucky Derby will take place this Saturday, May 2, 2015. The race is being held at Churchill Downs and gates into the facility will open at 8:00 a.m. The Kentucky Derby will start at 6:24 p.m. and will have 20 horses racing for victory.
2015 marks the 141st Kentucky Derby. A general admission ticket to the Kentucky Derby will cost $55 if bought before the event and $60 if bought day of. Luxury tickets to the event cost $3,500 per person.
Reserved seating for the Kentucky Derby requires attendees to be in formal wear. Visitors that will be on the infield can dress in casual attire.
American Pharoah and Dortmund are the top two picks to win the Kentucky Derby and both of them were trained by Bob Baffert.
