Sally Beauty said that an illegal intrusion into its payment card systems is confirmed. Customers that wonder if they might have been affected by the data breach can call 1-866-234-9442 or send an email to “customerserviceinquiry@sallybeauty.com”.

Sally Beauty CEO Chris Brickman said that the company doesn’t know the scope of the data breach. He also said that a forensics investigation is still taking place. Customers that have had fraudulent charges put on their accounts due to the hack aren’t responsible for those charges.

Sally Beauty first reported the possibility of the data breach earlier this month. A similar data breach occurred last year and resulted in less than 25,000 debit and credit cards being affected.

SBH shares were down slightly as of Thursday afternoon.
