Three Ashley Madison users from Calif., N.J., and Md., have filed lawsuits against Amazon and GoDaddy due to their web hosting businesses. These users are attempting to hold the companies responsible for stolen content from the hacking of the adultery website being published by websites that use their services, and for emotional stress, reports Fortune.

The lawsuits against Amazon and GoDaddy from the Ashley Madison users will likely be shut down. The Communications Decency Act makes it so that web hosts aren’t responsible for what their users use their websites for. However, there is a lawsuit being filed against the adultery website, Fortune notes.

The Ashley Madison hack was revealed back in July and was done by a group called The Impact Team. The hackers were demanding that the website be taken down or its would posts passwords and other information online. The stolen passwords and other information were then released in late August.
