World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Superfly Snuka has been charged with murder.
Superfly Snuka has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Nancy Argentino, in 1983. Argentino passed away from brain damage and a fractured skull. The injuries allegedly came from Snuka, who had previous incidents of abuse against Argentino, reports New York Daily News.
Superfly Snuka was being held on a $100,000 bail in Lehigh, Pa. At the time of Argentino’s death, he claimed that he wasn’t responsible. The wrestler said he found her dying after returning from a TV performance. Argentino’s sisters have been fighting to have Snuka prosecuted for her murder since the incident, New York Daily News notes.
“The grand jury and the evidence we were able to produce before the grand jury made the difference in what has happened today compared to what happened 32 years ago,” Jim Martin, a District Attorney in Lehigh County, told Allentown Morning Call.
