Paypal Holdings Inc to Discontinue Amazon Fire, Blackberry and Windows Phone Apps

Paypal Holdings Inc (PYPL) has announced that it’s discontinuing some of its mobile apps.

PayPal, Amazon Fire, Blackberry, Windows Phone, PYPL, BBRY, AMZN, MSFT

Starting on June 30, PayPal will discontinue its mobile apps for BlackBerry Ltd (BBRY) devices, Amazon.com, Inc.’s (AMZN) Fire devices and Microsoft Corporation’s (MSFT) Windows Phone devices. However, Windows Phone users can still access the service via the Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers.

PayPal also said that Blackberry and Amazon users could still use its services through their web browsers. It also noted that Blackberry users can still use the BBM app for peer-to-peer payments via its service.

The news that these apps will be discontinued was announced at the same time the company said it will released its updated PayPal app for Apple Inc.’s (AAPL) iOS and Alphabet Inc’s (GOOG,GOOG) Google Android devices. These updates will be distributed between June 3 and June 30.
