The addition of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in all of the vehicle manufacturer’s 2017 models is possible due to its SYNC 3 platform. It allows the car company to offer the services in all of its new cars instead of just a few high-end models.

SYNC 3 is currently available in several Ford 2017 models already at dealerships, including the Escape, Fusion, Mustang and Explorer. 2017 Models being introduced later this year, such as the F-150, Focus, Edge and Super Duty, will also include the platform in them.

Ford said that it will continue to update SYNC 3 with Wi-Fi over-the-air updates. This should allow the company to keep all of its 2017 models updated and compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

SYNC 3 also has a feature called SYNC AppLink that allows other apps to work with the company’s cars. This includes AAA member services, AccuWeather, Ford PASS, Spotify and Pandora Media Inc’s (NYSE:P) music streaming app.

Apple CarPlay is compatible with Ford vehicles for users that have an iPhone 5 or later. Owners can interact with the service via voice commands through Siri or the touch screens found inside vehicles. The service includes support for Apple Maps, Apple Music, Phone, Messages and more.

Android Auto can be used with Android devices running version 5.0 or later. It allows owners to access and control music and maps through a car’s touch screen. It can also let them make phone calls and send messages via voice commands.
