Demi Lovato surprised unsuspecting Lyft riders by driving around undercover.
She picked up several fans in Denver, Colorado during a segment where no one could tell that the sunglasses-toting singer was a major celebrity. Lovato used a nasal voice with a Los Angeles twang to hide who she was as she discussed her plans to be a musician and make a name for herself.
The celebrity shared her passion for singing with one fan, who called her out and asked her to sing in front of her but Lovato claimed she was too shy to do such a thing. The rider then said that if she wants to make it in the industry, she needs to be able to belt out a song on cue.
She mentioned to another Lyft passenger that she was currently touring the country with a fellow singer who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend’s brother, referring to a real situation as she used to date one of the Jonas brothers and is now traveling with another one.
Perhaps the funniest moment of the segment came when she encouraged one rider to badger Demi Lovato, claiming Selena Gomez is a better singer, and Lovato has a bit of a weird chin. The passenger agreed with the undercover starlet, but later apologized when Lovato revealed who she was under the sunglasses.
