The combination may seem like an odd one, but Snoop Dogg points out that the pair have a friendship that goes way back. He adds that the show will feature cooking, drinking and plenty of fun.

The series — which has the tentative title of Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party — will feature celebrity guests on each episode that will share a meal with the food entrepreneur and the Grammy-nominated rapper.

The pair have shared the stage together in the past, as Stewart and Snoop appeared on ABC‘s game show 100,000 Pyramid. Additionally, Snoop has been a guest on Stewart’s talk show.

The TV chef said the show will feature a combination of food, celebrity and entertainment–a trio of elements that this country seems to be obsessed with.“Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way,” she added.

VH1 president Christ McCarthy expressed his excitement on the show’s potential, which features “two of pop culture’s biggest icons.” He adds that the memories that will be created on the show will be unforgettable.

Stewart recently partnered up with Marley Spoon to launch food kits that are delivered straight to your doorstep.

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg recently made the news when the Xbox servers suffered an outage and the musician went on Twitter to express his displeasure, even tweeting Bill Gates.
