J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE:JCP) is going to start carrying Frigidaire appliances in its stores next month.

JCPenney adding Frigidaire appliances to its stores is part of a deal with Electrolux Home Appliances. This will having it showing off refrigerators, freezers, ranges and dishwashers in showrooms at roughly 600 of its stores.

JCPenney notes that customers will be able to find the Frigidaire appliances in showrooms starting on Oct. 1. Customers that shop online will also have the chance to buy appliances via the company’s website.

“Home continues to be one of our most important growth initiatives as it enables us to become less reliant on seasonal shopping periods.” Tony Hurst, Senior Vice President of Home at JCPenney, said in a statement. “It’s imperative that we integrate new brands and the latest trends in housewares to drive sales throughout the year.”

JCPenney also says that it will be adding a new line of cookware to its stores later this year. The company notes that the brand will come from celebrity chef and cookbook author Ayesha Curry. The goods will be available at close to 600 stores and will launch sometime this Fall.

The Ayesha Curry cookware that JCPenney will carry includes a few different products. Among them are two 12-piece porcelain enamel cookware sets. There will also be an 11-piece hard-anodized cookware set with copper interiors. All goods in this line with include a lifetime warranty and shatter-resistant glass lids.

JCP stock was up 2% as of noon Tuesday, but is down 51% year-to-date.
