Kohl’s to Start Accepting Amazon Returns in 82 Locations

Kohl’s Corporation (NYSE:KSS) is going to start accepting Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) returns at select stores.

Kohl’s says that Amazon returns will be available at 82 of its stores in the cities of Los Angeles and Chicago. The retailer will not be charging customers for this service. KSS will also handle packing and shipping the items back to AMZN. The service allows customers to return items for any reason.

Kohl’s notes that it will also be setting aside parking spaces at its stores just for customers that are coming in to return items to Amazon. These parking spots will be located near the entrances of the KSS stores that are taking part in the Amazon return program.

“Amazon Returns at Kohl’s creates a convenient location for Amazon customers to return eligible Amazon.com merchandise,” Shivi Shankaran, Director of Worldwide Customer Returns at Amazon, said in a statement. “Teaming up with Kohl’s provides an incredible opportunity to pair our world-class return experience with a great shopping experience, expanding our service options to our customers in the Los Angeles and Chicago areas.”

Kohl’s will start accepting Amazon returns at the 82 stores in Los Angeles and Chicago in October 2017. 10 of these select locations will also feature a new Amazon smart home experience. This will be near the front of the KSS stores.

KSS stock was up 2% as of noon Tuesday, but is down 7% year-to-date. AMZN stock is down slightly as of noon Tuesday, but is up 29% year-to-date.
