Thursday Apple Rumors: watchOS 4.1 GM Notes Leak
Source: Apple

watchOS 4.1 GM: Notes for the Golden Master version of watchOS 4.1 GM have leaked, reports 9to5Mac. The leaked notes give some insight into what we can expect from the final version of watchOS 4.1. This includes the introduction of music streaming on Series 3 devices, as well as connecting to GymKit equipment to sync data. Several other new features are also in the notes. However, one that is missing is Apple Pay. AAPL says that Pay will come to the Watch this Fall, which makes it strange that it isn’t in the notes.

iPhone Camera: A developer is warnings users about letting apps access their iOS device’s camera, MacRumors notes. Felix Krause is the developer behind the warning. He shows that any app with camera permissions can take pictures and record videos without the user knowing. The app must be in the foreground for this. This isn’t a bug in iOS, but rather a warning from a developer about protecting one’s privacy.

Nucleus 7: The new Nucleus 7 hearing implant from Cochlear works with Apple devices, reports AppleInsider. The Nucleus 7 hearing implant was made with the help of the tech company. It allows users to connect the implant to iOS devices via Bluetooth. This makes it so that those with the implant won’t need an extra device to hear audio from the company’s iPhone, iPad and iPod devices. AAPL and Cochlear worked on the new hearing implant for two to three years before its completion.
