Here’s what you should know:

Bombardier Inc (BDRBF)

Bombardier is considering downsizing.

The company said it is seeking options with its aerospace business Sunday, according to Bloomberg. Bombardier may sell some of its assets of the segment, such as its Q400 turboprop.

Some other pieces of its aerospace business that may soon leave include the company’s CRJ regional-jet unit, according to sources close to the matter. Bombardier may also ink deals with other aerospace companies.

One such company may be Airbus SE. Bombardier is weighing its options as the company continues its five-year turnaround plan that began in 2015, when it considered filing for bankruptcy.

BRDBF shares are up 14.9% year-to-date.

Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)

Microsoft has improved worker conditions for its employees.

The software giant shared in its blog over the weekend that it had built treehouses that are accessible to workers through a ramp. There are three treehouses and they are made of Pacific Northwest Douglas fir.

Inside these recreational work locations, there is a collaboration room where workers can work in nature. Pete Nelson of the TV series Treehouse Masters created the locations.

The treehouses are part of an initiative by Microsoft that combine nature with technology, encouraging workers to commune with nature while they log into the company’s network.

“There’s no AV system or calibrated climate control,” the blog reads. “But what happens when people enter is a kind of magic.”

MSFT shares are up 24.7% YTD.

Viacom, Inc. (VIAB)

Viacom’s deal with Spectrum may come to an abrupt end next week.

A decision looms Monday between the two companies regarding whether or not they can reach an agreement that would keep Viacom’s channels in Spectrum’s lineup.

It’s unclear where the negotiations are as of Sunday. Cancelling Viacom shows would deprive more than 16 million subscribers of Nickeloden, Nick Jr., MTV, Comedy Central, BET and CMT.

Viacom has been asking its subscribers to call Spectrum and complain in order to gain some ground in the negotiations. These ads have been showing up in the bottom of programming.

Unfair negotiation tactics have been claimed by both parties, but it is unclear what these tactics are.

VIAB shares are down 25.9% YTD.

As of this writing, Karl Utermohlen did not hold a position in any of the aforementioned securities.
