Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) is going to start offering free shipping in November.

Target: Free Shipping for the Holidays to Start in November

Target says that the new offer will allow customers to start ordering goods online and have them sent to them for free starting on Nov. 1, 2017. The retail company notes that there is no minimum price requirement for online shoppers to get free shipping.

Target typically only offers free shipping to customers under a couple of circumstances. The first is that the person uses a REDcard to complete their order. This includes the company’s various credit and debit cards. The second way is to order more than $35 worth of merchandise from the retailer.

Free shipping from Target will have orders showing up to customers’ homes within three to five days. Customers that want to get their orders quicker can also choose Premium Shipping for two-day delivery and Express Shipping for one-day delivery. However, these two options will cost customers.

Target also notes that it now has some 1,400 stores that will handle shipping orders to customers. This means that customers will hopefully get their orders quicker thanks to the stores being located near them.

Customers that don’t want to wait for Target’s free shipping have another option available to them. This is Order Pickup, which allows them to head into their local store an pickup their goods. Most orders are ready for pickup just one hour after being made.

Target is also planning to hire an additional 100,000 employees for seasonal jobs in 2017. It has already started holding hiring events to fill these positions.

TGT stock was up 2% as of noon Monday and is up 5% year-to-date.

As of this writing, William White did not hold a position in any of the aforementioned securities.
