Hardee’s Debuts Cereal-Inspired Mini Froot Loops Donuts

Hardee’s recently announced that it was rolling out cereal-inspired mini Froot Loops donuts that will also be available at Carl’s Jr. locations.

The fast food chains announced that cereal lovers will now be able to try out a new breakfast item that combines the flavor of the iconic sugary cereal with the soft dough and fluff of donuts in the form of mini donuts, which allows you to skip the milk and go straight for the flavor.

These Hardee’s pastries are nearly bite-sized and they are sold in a pack of five bright colors. Early critics have said that they actually taste exactly like Froot Loops, with the scent of the cereal coming out in the form of warm pastries once you open the packaging.

Even when you cut into the donuts, they look just like the inside of Froot Loops. “Y’all…Froot Loop do[ugh]nuts,”

said Cruise and Muse, the Instagram account of Shay Spence, the People Magazine food editor.

“They smell exactly like Froot Loops. Taste exactly like Froot Loops. They even look like jumbo Froot Loops when you cut into them. I have no speech.”

The move marks yet another amazing fast food invention or abomination, depending on how you look at it. It’s not the healthiest food item in the fast food world, but it’s certainly not the unhealthiest one.
