What is kombucha?

Kombucha

The tea is a fermented drink made by mixing a colony of bacteria and yeast with sugar and tea. After the beverage ferments, kombucha tea is created.

The drink has been dubbed a miracle elixir by some due to its numerous health benefits. The fermented drink possesses vinegar, vitamin B and other chemical compounds.

Some claim that kombucha can improve the immune system, prevent cancer, improve liver function and treat arthritis. Despite these claims, there isn’t enough evidence to back them up yet.

Kombucha may also be capable of causing harm, with some drinkers saying the tea’s caused them upset stomachs, infections and allergic reactions.
