Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) plans to launch a self-driving car.
The driverless vehicle will be released in the second half of 2015. The company is hoping that it will rival Google (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) with its own self-driving car.
Baidu has yet to announce what car manufacturer it is working with to build the vehicle.
Google’s self-driving car is now being tested on public roads in the state of California.
BIDU stock is down 0.2% Tuesday. GOOG stock is up 0.08% and GOOGL stock is up 0.03%.
