We don’t know who will play in the Super Bowl 50 but we do know who will perform on the halftime show.

Super Bowl 50

On Thursday night, the NFL announced that Coldplay will be headlining the halftime show as the musical act. “We are so excited and honored and thrilled to be playing the halftime show,” band front man Chris Martin said in a video.

“It’s going to be wonderful and hope we see you there.” The Super Bowl 50 halftime show will include multiple acts, according to the NFL.

A press release from Pepsi released that Coldplay “is designing a show that will echo elements of the NFL’s On the Fifty campaign — honoring the past, recognizing the present and looking ahead to the next 50 years, including other special artists.”

Coldplay’s new album, “A Head Full of Dreams,” will be released Friday.
