Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) has launched its new smartphone, called the CAT S60, and InvestorPlace has collected a few things you might want to know about the mobile device.
- The new smartphone is the first ever to include an integrated thermal camera, which is made by FLIR Systems (FLIR).
- The thermal camera can detect heat loss around doors, missing insulation and moisture.
- The CAT S60 is waterproof up to a depth of five meters for one hour.
- It is drop proof up to 1.8 meters.
- The smartphone is powered by Alphabet’s (GOOG,GOOGL) Android Marshmallow.
- It has a 13MP rear-facing camera with dual flash.
- The 4.7-inch display is made of Corning’s (GLW) Gorilla Glass 4.
- The display can be used with gloves and while it’s wet.
- It has a 3800mAh battery.
- The device will cost $599.
