Real America IndexWisconsin’s Harley-Davidson (NYSE:HOG) is tearing up the neighborhood, blasting ahead 10.26%, as the company more than doubled its profit from last year on a 7.5% jump in sales.  It’s the first rise in U.S. sales in over four years.

Harley-Davidson earnings have made HOG the best-performing stock on the InvestorPlace.com Real America Index.

Vermont’s Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (NASDAQ:GMCR) is on a high, up 4.76%.  There’s no big news on the growth stock, but an analyst said he liked the chart formations of mid-cap stocks and mentioned Green Mountain.

Georgia’s legendary Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) bubbled up 3.46%, as the company reported an 18% increase in earnings, thanks to booming sales in emerging markets.  Just when you thought Coke had reached into every corner of the globe, it finds a new one.

Otherwise, the Real America Index is up solidly today.  Alas, these three stocks are not:

New York’s Goldman Sachs Group (NYSE:GS), the company everybody loves to hate, is down -2.10%.  There’s no news, but probably lingering concern over the debt ceiling debate and the CFPB’s possible impact..

North Carolina’s Bank of Americva (NYSE:BAC) is off -2.21%, extends that sentiment.  No news, just general worries.

Hawaii’s Hawaiian Holdings (NASDAQ:HA) is down 3.57%, over a report that airline’s are losing confidence in being able to support recent price increases.

Looking at the broad perspective, the Real America Index is upalmost 1%, matching equivalent strength across the other three major indexes.
