Monday Apple Rumors: Leaked Image May Show Rear Shell for iPhone 6

apple-aaplBeta: Apple (AAPL) released the fourth version of the iOS 8 beta on Monday. New features in the iOS 8 beta 4 include a redesigned Control Center and a Tip app, MacRumors notes. iOS 8 is currently only available to registered developers. It can be downloaded through the company’s over-the-air updating system or the iOS Developer Center. iOS 8 is rumored to have a launch date that will coincide with the release of the iPhone 6 later this year.

Case: An image that could possibly be a rear shell for the upcoming iPhone 6 has hit the internet, reports AppleInsider. The case seems to be fairly along in the production line and inlcudes an inlaid Apple logo. Rumors are that the logo may be inlaid so that it can light up like Macs do. Another rumor is that the inlaid logo could be used for antenna or an NFC chip, which could allow for iPhone 6 owners to tap their credit cards to the device to make a purchase.

Camera: A rumors claims that Apple’s iPhone 6 will be getting a new camera from Sony (SNE), GforGames notes. This rumor claims that the upcoming iPhone will use a Sony Exmor IMX220 as its camera. The rumor also states that this would give the phone the ability to shoot 13 MP pictures and would include a 1/2.3″ sensor. The rumor also claims this would allow the smartphone to shoot videos in 1080p.
