Interbrand released its annual list of the best brands in the world.

Best BrandsThe consultancy has unveiled its 15th annual Best Global Brands Report.The best brands list includes some companies that have thrived the most over the last year.

Interbrand determines a company’s ranking based on three factors: financial performance, brand’s influence over customer choice and the strength the brand has to secure earnings for the company.

Here are the top five rising brands with their overall ranking and their performance over the last year:

  • Facebook (FB) – #29, +86%:  Facebook’s impressive year was highlighted by its ad business on mobile phones, which exceeded half of all its advertising (53%) for its second quarter.
  • Audi – #45, +27%: The automotive brand had an impressive year, selling the most cars in its history and reaching an operating profit exceeding $6 billion.
  • Amazon (AMZN) – #15, +25%: The online retailer’s core business has been growing steadily with services such as Amazon Prime reaching more than a million subscribers one week.
  • Volkswagen – #31, +23% – The German automaker makes the list of best brands once again thanks to its commitment to excellence in vehicle manufacturing and environmental sustainability.
  • Nissan – #56, +23% – Another automaker rounds up the list of top rising brands thanks to Nissan’s innovation in its car launches over the last year.

FB stock is down about 1.1% Thursday afternoon. AMZN stock is down 1.3%
