The report comes from UDN, a Chinese news website, and claims to have talked to sources in Apple’s supply chain. In the report, the news source claims that the company will stop production of its iPad mini line to better focus on its iPhone and larger iPads, reports Business Insider.

The iPad mini 3 has a 7.9-inch display. In comparison, the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch display. It’s possible that Apple will stop work on the mini line when it releases its rumored 12.9-inch iPad in early 2015, Business Insider notes.

Apple hasn’t commented on the claim that it will stop making the iPad mini. However, Mark Gurman, a senior editor for Apple rumor website 9to5 Mac, says that these claims are “obviously false” and that there is “no need to even put thought into it,” reports Huffington Post.
