Google (GOOG) Play is getting updated to version 6.5 and it will come with several new features for its services.
The new update to Google Play was announced via a company blog by Developer Advocate Ian Lake. Included in the 6.5 update are new features for Google Maps, Google Drive and Google Wallet. The updates will be released in the next few days.
Here are a five new features added in the Google Play 6.5 update.
- There is now a Google Map toolbar that allows for immediate access to the service.
- Updates to Google Drive make the system more user friendly and less of a battery drain.
- A new “Donate with Google” button has been added to Google Wallet.
- Changes to Google Fit have been made to make it easier for developers to work with.
- Google Play 6.5 will include changes to allow it to run on the minimum number of application programming interfaces.
