google-android-4-3-goog-googlGoogle has announced that it has no intention to patch a security flaw that was discovered on its Jellybean and earlier operating systems. The flaw is in the Webview software, which is used by apps to view webpages, and could possibly be used to take over a person’s device, reports Daily Mail.

Google said that it currently isn’t going to work on patches for versions of Android below 4.4. However, it did say that it welcomes patches from other developers. Roughly 60% of active Android devices, owned by 930 million users, are still using Android 4.3 or below, Daily Mail notes.

Google’s Webview has suffered from 10 security flaws in the last 10 years of use.
