International Business Machines (IBM) has revealed its new z13 mainframe.

According to IBM, the new z13 mainframe was designed with mobile in mind. This means the device works well with eCommerce, healthcare and other markets that are moving to mobile platforms. The company also suggested that the device could be used as a private cloud. The price of the mainframe hasn’t been revealed, reports TechCrunch.

• It can handle 2.5 billion transactions a day.
• The mainframe has real-time mobile encryption.
• IBM claims it comes equipped with “the world’s fastest microprocessor.”
• The device can run up to 8,000 virtual servers.
• The microprocessor used in the z13 has eight cores and a clockspeed of 5GHz.
